Super Bowl Sunday Blog

A Happy Little Sunday

Today was busy in the best way! Full, fun, and still somehow calm.

We started the day at Church as a family, which always sets the tone for me. Slowing down, being present, and feeling grateful. I loved my outfit today! It was simple, fun, meaningful, put together, and very me. Those little moments of feeling good in your own skin really do matter so much!

After Mass, we went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch. Nothing fancy, just good food and a meal with my little family. For lunch, I ordered the usual, grilled chicken breast with jack cheese and grilled jalapeños. My go to sides at Texas Roadhouse are always house salad and loaded mashed potatoes!

After lunch, we made a quick stop at TJ Maxx (because browsing is therapy). I picked up a few outfits for my girls and truly enjoyed taking my time, no rush, just enjoying the moment.

Following my retail therapy, we did a Walmart run to grab food for Super Bowl snacks. Back home, I cooked Mexican banderillas which are basically corn dogs. I also prepped some bacon-wrapped hot dogs. Just easy, fun, American classics!

I like football but only when I’m watching my kids or nephews play. Other than that, during NFL football season, i just show up for the food and drinks, lol! Only reason why I watch the superbowl is to watch the halftime show! I have to admit, this years halftime show was amazing. For me personally, it was very powerful and meaningful! I loved how bad bunny showcased culture and Latinos, one of a kind, flare! Or as he calls it, “Sazón!”

Overall, today was a beautiful reminder that happiness doesn’t have to be loud or complicated. Sometimes it looks like faith, family, errands, comfort food, and a full heart.

If you made it this far, thank you for reading about my day!

As always, best wishes and much love,

Colorfully, Cindy
